    MEET THE OWNER

    From a neatly made bed in the Philippines to your home in Vernon

    Some people can live with a little mess. I never could. Growing up in the Philippines, my favourite place was a freshly made bed, and I had more than a few fights with our youngest sibling for wrinkling my bedsheets. We laugh about it now, but that feeling never left me. A clean space just feels like you can finally breathe.

    In 2018, I moved to Canada to work as a manager at Tim Hortons. Like many newcomers, I tried different paths after that. While I was waiting for a receptionist role, I took on part-time cleaning work to keep busy.

    That is when it clicked. Walking into a cluttered room and leaving it calm and shining gave me the same joy I felt as a kid smoothing out my sheets. It stopped feeling like a job and started feeling like something I was made to do.

    Today I am a proud Canadian citizen, and Glove Up and Shine is how I share that love with my neighbours across the North Okanagan. Every home gets the same care I would want in my own.
